Research Member of the Japan Kogei Association, specializing in textiles and dyeing. Based in the Toyama region. Has 10 documented works in exhibitions.

The Art of Japanese Textiles

Japanese textile arts represent centuries of innovation in fiber craft, from the intricate brocades of Nishijin to the bold patterns of kasuri. Traditional techniques include yūzen dyeing, shibori tie-dye, and various weaving methods using silk, cotton, and plant fibers. Ishida Kazuyo brings expertise in weaving, natural dyeing, resist-dyeing, and embroidery to their practice.

As a Research Member of the Japan Kōgei Association, Ishida Kazuyo is actively developing their skills in traditional craft techniques under the guidance of master artisans. This membership recognizes emerging artists committed to learning and preserving Japan's traditional craft heritage.
