The Art of Japanese Ceramics

Japanese ceramics encompasses a rich tradition spanning over 10,000 years, from ancient Jōmon pottery to refined tea ceremony wares. Each region of Japan has developed distinctive styles, clay bodies, and firing techniques that reflect local materials and aesthetic sensibilities. Konishi Hiroo brings expertise in wheel-throwing, hand-building, glazing, and kiln-firing to their practice.
