Research Member of the Japan Kogei Association, specializing in textiles and dyeing. Based in the Kinki region. Has 9 documented works in exhibitions.

The Art of Japanese Textiles

Japanese textile arts represent centuries of innovation in fiber craft, from the intricate brocades of Nishijin to the bold patterns of kasuri. Traditional techniques include yūzen dyeing, shibori tie-dye, and various weaving methods using silk, cotton, and plant fibers. Takase Wasato brings expertise in weaving, natural dyeing, resist-dyeing, and embroidery to their practice.
