The Art of Japanese Glass

While glass is a relatively recent addition to Japanese craft traditions, artists have developed distinctive approaches including Edo kiriko cut glass and Satsuma kiriko. Contemporary glass artists continue to innovate while honoring the precision and refinement characteristic of Japanese aesthetics. Takishita Hiroko brings expertise in glassblowing, cutting, and kiriko engraving to their practice.
